3rd Party Extensions in Chrome

    Hello,

Is anyone allowing 3rd party extensions for Chrome?  If so, is there a vetting process or are they just allowed to be installed?

Any information regarding practice would be helpful.

    thanks!

    Rose,

In Burrillville, we allow 3rd party extensions.  We have a Chrome app/extension request form that staff fill out, I vet all privacy policies, and then either approve or deny them.

It is a very tedious task but helps us keep a handle on what we're using.

Similar to Justin, we have a request form and run each extension through a checklist drafted by our Technology Advisory Group.  If we feel as if the extension or app is well vetted we will push or allow it on the Chromebooks.
