After we go 1:1 we will no longer need our elementary computer labs. Some of our schools are looking at transforming them into makerspaces. We don't know where to start. Can anyone suggest some resources or contact people who could guide us through this process? Specifically, we're looking for advice on designing a makerspace and professional development on teaching/learning within a makerspace.

    Thanks so much!

    Hi Kim,

Samira and Jen Romph in Jamestown have put a great maker space together at Melrose. They will be presenting at the State Conference. I think they will have good advice for you as you get started.

What conference will that be and when?  We are also planning to create a Makerspace and are looking for any suggestions and ideas for implementing one as well as how to integrate it into the schedule and curriculum.
