    Hi,

We are looking for some guidance and help in planning professional development for the high school teachers that will be working in our 1:1 classrooms with our 9th graders in the fall.

    1. When did you start the PD?

    2. Who delivered the PD?

    3. What did the content look like?

    Any advice would be appreciated.

    Denise

    Hi Denise,

Your PD should focus on what it is that you are trying to improve in the classroom.  The instructional process should be the focus, not the technology.  Once that is determined, the research can begin to select the supporting software and hardware to make this improvement.  This practice was highlited by our guest speaker, Justin Reich, at our member meeting and also at the Aspen Institute yesterday.  Here is a link to Justin's slidedeck .http://www.ri-iste.org/11-Implementation
