    Hi All,

I'm guess you are getting the many (way toooooooo many) emails from RIDE on upcoming PARCC testing. This is my first year needing to test our student and I saw the requirement for Pearsons' TestNav to be installed for Chromebooks. I can add it to my own Google profile (from the link provided in the document sent out). But when I go to my Admin console for my Google domain and try and install it from the Market place Apps it says can not be found ! I've search under Pearson, Testnav and I get nothing ! Am I missing something ?

    Thanks

    Tom Ram

    Hi,

I believe you should be going to Google Apps Management Console -> Device Management -> Chrome -> Device Settings -> Kiosk Settings -> Single App Kiosk -> Manage Kiosk Applications

This should bring up a chrome web store type interface where you can search for testnav and add the application.

This link provides some good documentation on it.

    http://kenstonpd.org/2014/02/24/running-testnav-on-a-chromebook/

However, in this documentation they apply the app as a custom application where I added it via searching for testnav.

    Thanks,

    Jeff

Once you have it configured as Jeff mentions, it just takes a policy update on the CB for the app to appear.   There will be an option on the login screen in the lower left corner, "Apps."  Clicking this shows TestNav above.

    Jeff & Jim,

Sorry for the delayed Thanks for the info you both provided (took a day or two to be able to try it out). The path was perfect for adding it in via the kiosk mode and Jim it took me a few restarts to realize that I didn't need to login to the CB with a Google user account to have the apps available in the bottom left as you described ;)

    Thanks again !!!
