Chromecast on School Network

I've been having trouble getting a Chromecast to connect to the Internet from within our school network.  The problem seems to be that the Chromecast is hard set to connect to Google's own DNS servers at 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4.  I assume that our firewall may be blocking the connections.

Having heard that others are using Chromecasts in their schools, has anyone seen a similar issue, and how did you get around it?

    thanks

    Marc

Well I just answered my own question....

I just added the statement to allow outgoing access to Google's server and the Chromecast came to life!

I'll leave this posted to help any others.

Thanks, Mark...  this will be helpful since I would like to use one of these in my school environment.  Just in case I run into the same issue(s).
