In Barrington, while we wait for Aspen to release PARCC Accommodations functionality, we are asking test administrators to enter accommodations by school using the following Google Forms created by our own Paula Dillon.  Once the functionality is present, we will transfer this data into Aspen for the January upload.  Please feel free to copy these forms for your district if you feel it might help.

    Hi Kate,

I read through Barrington's accommodations. The large print book a student will receive is going to be 11x17. It may not fit on there desk. Also you may not have control over the point size or font, but you have a student in Barrington who uses 20pt. to read his materials. This is going to be a problem for a lot of schools when most students in our state are using a larger pt size for reading. This is not just a Barrington problem but a PARCC problem.

    This is really nice, Katie!

Thanks for sharing! It seems like in our district we have folks doing similar things, but not using google because we haven't rolled out our domain yet, and they are worried about confidentiality on personal google drives.

    Hello RISTE folks.

I recently presented in NYC on PARCC - and specifically re: PARCC accessibility and accommodation features.  The PARCC accessibility and accommodations manual was finalized in Jan. 2015.  Much of our presentation was built from that information.  You might find the information helpful in your districts.  I also highlight the importance of the Personal Needs Profile (PNP) for ALL students.  Here is the link to the PDF posted to Google (and shared for viewing publicly).
